Terms of service
These terms apply to KinFrame, a self-hosted family command center built and operated by the Combs family, and to this website, kinframe.link. By using KinFrame you agree to them.
1. What KinFrame is
KinFrame is a private household application. It shows the family calendar, chores, points and photos on household devices. It is not a commercial service, is not offered for sale, and is available only to members of the household that runs it and people they invite.
2. Accounts and access
- Accounts and device access are created by the household's administrator.
- Keep your password private and tell the administrator if you think someone else has used your account.
- The administrator may change or remove accounts and paired devices at any time.
3. Connecting Google Calendar
If you connect a Google account, you authorize KinFrame to access that account's calendars as described in the privacy policy. You must own the Google account or be allowed to connect it. Your use of Google services stays subject to Google's own terms. You can disconnect at any time from KinFrame, or by removing access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
4. Acceptable use
Use KinFrame only for its intended household purposes. Don't upload content you don't have the right to share, try to access accounts or data that aren't yours, or interfere with the app or the server it runs on.
5. Your content
Photos, events, chores and other content you add remain yours. You give KinFrame permission to store and display that content to members of your household so the app can work. Content you delete is removed from the app; copies in backups expire as described in the privacy policy.
6. Availability
KinFrame is a personal project run on household hardware. It may be unavailable at times, and features may change or be removed. Google Calendar remains the authoritative copy of calendar data; don't rely on KinFrame as your only record of important events.
7. No warranty
KinFrame is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators of KinFrame are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of KinFrame, including missed or incorrect calendar information.
9. Ending use
You can stop using KinFrame at any time and ask for your data to be deleted. The administrator can suspend or remove access that breaks these terms.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the effective date above. Continuing to use KinFrame after a change means you accept the updated terms.
